NORMAN, OK – Plan. Explore. Experience. The motto of the Oklahoma Scenic Byways program beckons travelers to discover some of the most beautiful and interesting parts of the state. Now, travelers have two more locations to tour, as the Oklahoma Scenic Byways has added to its family of byways.
The Cimarron Trail Byway, located in the Oklahoma Panhandle, and the Osage Nation Heritage Trail Byway are the newest additions to Oklahoma Scenic Byways. These byways join the Route 66, Talimena, Wichita Mountains, Mountain Pass and Mountain Gateway byways across the state.
Oklahoma Scenic Byways is a partnership between the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and University of Oklahoma Outreach to promote community and economic development while preserving Oklahoma’s irreplaceable resources.
