University of Oklahoma Outreach Appoints Rhodes as CAFÉ Program Director

NORMAN, OK – The University of Oklahoma Outreach has appointed Misty Rhodes as director for Academic Programs associated with the Colleges of Education, Fine Arts, Architecture, and Arts and Sciences (CAFÉ).
In her role as director, Rhodes oversees the development and delivery of national and international credit programs, degrees, travel-study programs and non-credit training programs, including business and industry relationships with the China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, Petro China and the China National Offshore Oil Company. Additionally, she is responsible for the Center for English as a Second Language program as well as the administration of contracts with public, private and government agencies such as Lockheed Martin and Homeland Security.
“Rhodes’ business background and experience in training and development will serve her well at OU,” said James Pappas, Ph.D., vice president of University Outreach and dean of the College of Liberal Studies. “Her knowledge is a valuable asset to University Outreach Academic Programs.”
Rhodes received a bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and Administration from the University of Oklahoma and a master’s degree in Management from Southern Nazarene University.
Rhodes has an extensive background in training and development, project management and quality assurance from the HERTZ Corporation, which includes training in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies. Prior to Hertz, she worked in commercial banking and property management. Rhodes is an elected member of Delta Mu Delta and National Honor Society for Business Administration, and holds certificates in training and development, which include Critical Skills for Customer Partnerships and Foundations of Management.
