This summer, gifted students will have the chance to learn about exciting academic topics with other academically superior students and to get a feel for life on a major college campus at the Horizons Unlimited program presented by University of Oklahoma Outreach Precollegiate Programs. The program will be offered July 9-14 for students in grades 6 through 8 on the OU Norman campus.
The intensive one-week program offers students the chance to explore the challenges and rewards of college life, to meet other talented students and to be enriched by unique academic courses. Participants will take two courses, choosing among creative writing, journalism, mathematics, meteorology, sports medicine, theater arts, American popular music geography, film studies, zoology, cartoon basics and forensic science.
Students will live in on-campus residence halls and eat at the OU cafeteria, or may choose to commute to campus. In addition to the day’s courses, students participate in planned recreational activities in the evening. Tuition for resident students is $525 and for commuters, $475.
